Occupational Therapy Month Spotlight: Karri Morrow

April 19, 2024

Seneca Place is excited to highlight our outstanding Occupational Therapists! Meet Karri Morrow!

Name, Title: Karri Morrow MS, OTR/L

Tell us about your educational background: Master’s degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. Bachelor’s degree also includes occupational science.

How long have you been in healthcare?: 14 years

Why did you choose to pursue this career?: I initially chose to go into physical therapy as I had to receive it as a kid for knee injuries. However, in college I learned about OT from my best friend who was going into the program. I decided to change as it was similar but more specialized.

What sparked your passion to work with this population?: I have always loved the geriatric population. I was always around my Granny and great aunt/uncles growing up. They taught me so much. I always see a meme on social media saying “to care for those who once cared for us is one of life’s highest honors.” I couldn’t agree more.

During a challenging time in healthcare, what keeps you motivated?: Knowing my parents need my skills, support, and care.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?: Helping people gain or regain their max potential and independence.
