Mr. James Brooks was admitted to Seneca Place on February 4th, 2022, for rehabilitation after having many falls at his home. He began his therapy to reclaim his independence with his mobility. With hard work, dedication, and determination, Mr. Brooks is now able to walk and transfer independently with an assistive device! He is thrilled to be heading home, where he will continue his daily exercising and his favorite activities. Congratulations to James and his Care Team on their success! Success Story: Henry Allen

Seneca Place is pleased to recognize resident Henry Allen’s Success Story!

Mr. Henry Allen was admitted to Seneca Place on January 20th, 2022, for rehab after having various falls at his home. He began his therapy to reclaim his independence with his mobility. With hard work and willpower, Mr. Allen is now able to walk and transfer independently with an assistive device! He plans to return home to his family and continue his daily exercising and his favorite activities. Congratulations to Mr. Allen and his Care Team on their success!

Success Story: Charlie Geohegan

Seneca Place is proud to recognize resident Charlie Geohegan’s Success Story!

Mr. Charlie Geohegan was admitted to Seneca Place on January 11th, 2022, for rehab after having multiple falls at his home. He began his therapy to regain his independence with his mobility. With hard work and determination, Mr. Geohegan is now able to walk and transfer independently with an assistive device! He plans to return home in a few weeks after completing therapy. Congratulations to Charlie and his Care Team on their success!

Success Story: Jarrell Shelden

Seneca Place is proud to spotlight resident Jarrell Shelden’s Success Story!

Mr. Shelden was admitted to Seneca Place in September of 2019, under the care of Dr. Rajesh Sheth. During the stay, Occupational Therapy was initiated to identify Mr. Shelden’s unique needs and tailor specialized treatment plans efficiently and effectively to successfully transition to the next level of care. Our therapy team provided skilled interventions to address the adaptation, compensation, and restoration potential of Jarrell, and coordinated with the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate clinical care areas were addressed. On January 26th, 2022, Mr. Jarrell Shelden was successfully discharged to long-term care. Congratulations to Mr. Shelden and his Care Team on their success!

Success Story: Ira Blakely

December 21, 2021

Seneca Place is proud to recognize resident Mr. Ira Blakely’s Success Story!

Mr. Ira Blakely arrived at Seneca Place in October after being in the hospital. Mr. Blakely needed help walking, improving his balance, and performing activities of daily living. After working diligently with his rehabilitation team, Mr. Blakely is now much stronger! He is now preparing to return home soon, and is working on walking without a walker. He also is now able to perform all of his activities of daily living independently. We are so happy that Mr. Blakely will be able to return home to his family just in time for the holidays. Congratulations to Mr. Blakely and his Care Team on their success!

Success Story: Phyllis Turner

Seneca Place is thrilled to spotlight resident Phyllis Turner’s Success Story!

Ms. Phyllis Turner arrived at Seneca Place on November 1st, 2021 after being hospitalized for multiple days. When she arrived, she was unable to walk, transfer, or participate in activities of daily living. Thanks to her hard work, dedication, and her Care Team, Ms. Phyllis can now walk and transfer independently! She is also now able to perform all self-care tasks independently. Not only did Ms. Turner meet her goals, but she is also now able to return home before the Holidays. We at Seneca Place thank Ms. Turner and wish her the very best!
